Get Healthy! Share A Glass Of Wine & Have Sex

Research released Tuesday in the New England Journal Of Medicine today confirms that the so-called "Mediterranean diet" significantly reduces rates of heart attacks and strokes, as compared to a low fat diet.

The findings reveal that avoiding red meats and processed food in favor of fresh fruits, vegetables, fish, nuts, olive oil, and even some wine can reduce heart attacks, strokes, and deaths from heart problems, according to the first study to demonstrate the diet’s benefits using the most reliable type of clinical trial.

According to the NY Times, Rachel Johnson, head of the American Heart Association’s nutrition committee, says the findings are intriguing. "We have moved away from the low-fat-at-all-cost message. It’s important to include these healthy fats in a diet," such as olive oils and nuts.

The diet also includes at least one glass of red wine a day. And you know what happens after you break out the wine…the sex can't be too far behind. So get healthy. Open a bottle of wine and have some sex. Turns out that it's good for you! Read more in the Atlantic.com
