Some Kind Of Wonderful: What the 80s Taught Us About Love

Let's face it, an entire generation didn't learn about love from Walt Disney, we learned about love, heartbreak and rock n' roll from John Hughes. The appeal of his movies, Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, The Breakfast Club…just to name a few was overwhelming when we were watching them in our teens and twenties, but it turns out that there's still lots to learn from 80s films.

So now that winter is upon us, maybe it's the perfect time to settle in for a movie marathon with a big bowl of popcorn and some peppermint schnapps in your hot cocoa. You just may find yourself falling in love with Jake Ryan all over again. And why wouldn't you want a guy in a Porsche? Read the article on Huffington Post.com

Thanksgiving Gets Sexy With Turkey And (Un)Dressing!

So Thanksgiving doesn't top your list as one of the sexiest of holidays?  Maybe you should think again. The message of Thanksgiving is all about gratitude and giving thanks, so why not let your partner know how much you love and appreciate them by having a little "gobble-gobble" time between the sheets. Sure, there are challenges to finding time to spend alone in between football games and your in-laws, but maybe this year you should make the effort. If you're single there's no better time than Thanksgiving to meet someone new. Accept that invitation to dinner at your co-worker's house. You just never know, she may have a very cute brother visiting from out of town.

Get into the holiday spirit! Now is the time to dust off your charm. Accept invitations from friends that you haven't seen in years. Get back in touch with people who might be visiting your area, or who live in the town you’ll be visiting for the weekend.  Your past just might hold the key to your sexy future, so get out there and enjoy the holiday festivities.

Did you know that pumpkin pie is an aphrodisiac? Many of the foods that are traditionally found on the table at Thanksgiving contain properties that are known to naturally rev up your libido. Don't fight the feeling. If you've got the urge to be amorous, make an appointment with your significant other for a little late-night nookie. Sex burns calories, so if you know you're going get it later, you can say yes to the pumpkin pie at dinner. It's a win-win!

Dress up and get it on!  You might be dreaming about sporting sweatpants all weekend while you're away from the office, but skipping personal hygiene for five days in a row is not going to help you get laid. Plan an outfit to wear when you're sitting at the table on Thanksgiving. Looking nice will boost your confidence and help you feel sexy. You never know who might sit down next to you.

Hello stranger! Traveling to see your family this holiday? If you're staying in a hotel with your significant other, it's the perfect time act out a sexy location fantasy. Pretend to meet as strangers at the hotel bar. Plan a make-out session in the back of a taxi or subway train. Get creative and get kinky. When are you going to have a chance like this again?

Do you think "Black Friday" deals are just for big screen TVs and ugly Christmas sweaters? Oh no! Start thinking sexy. You can bet your bottom dollar that you'll be able to find lots of great deals on naughty lingerie and sex toys.  It's a great time to update your toy box as lots of online stores will be offering discounts. Stock up now! Santa only comes once a year.

10 Reasons To Be Thankful For Sex

Thanksgiving is the season to let your gratitude show.

There are so many things you should be grateful for this holiday season. Your health, your family and your job are probably right there at the top of your list. And they should be.

But maybe this Thanksgiving we should remember to say thanks for the things we really love --  like sex. Even the Pilgrims would agree.  Sex is good.  Why should we give thanks for sex? We've come up with at least 10 reasons. Feel free to add a few of your own in the comments.

1. Sex can give you orgasms. No further explanation should be necessary.

2. Sex makes you happy. You'll wake up the next morning with a smile on your face.  The brain releases endorphins after sex that will decrease stress, inducing a state of euphoria. Oh happy day!

3. Sex burns calories. A sex session can burn about 200 calories, which is like running 15 minutes on a treadmill.

4. Sex helps you fall asleep, which makes it better than taking Ambien or Nyquil to drift off to sleepytime -- both of those remedies will leave you with a hangover the next morning.

5. Sex can bring people together and make babies, and having connections to other people is what makes the world go 'round.

6. Sex gives us something to talk about with our friends. What would you do with your free time if you weren't theorizing about what Ryan Gosling looks like naked? Read a book? Write a screenplay? That's way too ambitious. Let's just keep thinking…new subject: Daniel Craig.

7. Sex gives you something to daydream about when you're bored.  See above "Daniel Craig."

8. Sex is (usually) free.

9. Sex can make you live longer. And if it doesn't than it can give you a reason for living.

10. Sex makes you feel more confident and more comfortable in your own skin.

How To Have A Romantic Thanksgiving

Ok, so we get it. Thanksgiving doesn't seem like the sexiest holiday of the year at first glance. But if you can't see the romantic elements of this holiday, then you may be overlooking some great opportunities for intimacy.

It's not just that the tradition foods we enjoy on Thanksgiving are full of aphrodisiacs, it's more than that. There are moments for romance throughout the five-day holiday weekend that you shouldn't overlook. So take some time this Thanksgiving to spend some time with your significant other and see if you don't find romance over this holiday.

1. Sleep in
If you don't have to get up at 4:30am to go out and buy some new electronic gadgets, then take the time to sleep in on "Black Friday." What a pleasure it will be to both be in bed and not have anywhere to go.

2. Go to the movies
Make a date to buy tickets for two to go to see the movies over the weekend. Academy Award season is upon us -- the highest quality movies are in the theatres now. Go find out what everyone's talking about. Discuss the movie afterward -- all that communication could lead to new-found intimacy.

3. Spend time in the kitchen together
Make sure that one person doesn't get stuck in the kitchen while the other person is watching television. Take turns -- divide the duties of cooking up the sides. Or try out a new recipe together.

4. Let someone else be in the kitchen
Order a pizza or get a take-out meal from your favorite Chinese restaurant. Stay home and away from the crowds, but let someone else handle the stress of cooking at least one meal.

5. Make a date to go out for coffee or dessert
Restaurants can be crowded full of families over the holiday weekend. It's a great time to look for a table for two in a coffee shop or at your favorite pub. Try slipping into your favorite restaurant late at night just for a slice of cheesecake. Enjoy a quiet conversation in the middle of the hub-bub.

6. Tell your partner why you are thankful for them
You may say "I love you" often, but when do you get specific about the qualities in your mate that you are truly thankful they possess.  Now is a good time to tell them.

7. Give gifts
Why wait until Christmas? Surprise your mate with a little token of your affection.

8. Take photos
Make sure that you remember these most precious moments. Take lots of photos and share them with your love.

Gay Men Will Marry Your Girlfriends

Gay marriage has been put to the vote and passed in four states this past election, but there are still a few people who aren't on board with marriage equality.

For those people, the College Humor website has made a new video just for you. They're issuing an ultimatum: either you let them get married, or they're going to start marrying your girlfriend.

Think that can't happen? They've got quite a few compelling (and hilarious) reasons why it can…and could!

How To Keep Your Romance Hot In Colder Weather

Just because the weather has turned cold, doesn't mean that your romance has to get cold too. There are so many ways that you can enjoy the cooler temperatures and heat up your romance. We've got a few ideas:

Plan a winter weather getaway
There is nothing more romantic than getting cozy in front of a roaring fire  with a couple of glasses of wine, or steaming mugs of hot chocolate. Your cuddle will quickly become a warm tangle of fun on the carpet. Enjoy the snowy landscape by embracing it and enjoying it from the comfort of a mountain cabin.

Bundle up for a long walk
Though it might seem unappealing at first, winter hikes can be a lot of fun. When the landscape is covered in snow, it looks like something out of a fairy tale, so dress in your warmest layers, put on your boots, find a trail and get moving. Pack a thermos full of tea or hot soup and bring your camera so you can take photos of what you see.

Pretend it's still summer with an indoor picnic
Put a quilt or blanket on the floor and set up a feast for you and your guy. Serve white wine with cheeses, bread, olives and crackers. Light some candles, put on some music that reminds you of warmer weather times and forget all about the cold outside.

Take a dip in a hot tub
Show off your bikini bod outside of the bedroom!  Find a spa or hot tub to go with your guy for a fun night of wet romance. Being under water when there's a chill in the air can be more fun than swimming in warm weather.

Go on a Guy's Night Out
Pick him up and take him to his favorite burger joint. After dinner, take him to the game. Go for basketball, hockey or football! You'll have the best time cheering for the home team and you'll forget the chilly weather outside.

Get out on a beach walk
Just because you've packed away your sunscreen and beach toys for the winter doesn't mean that you can't have fun at the beach. Taking a stroll near the waves on a cold day can be invigorating and the intimacy that comes from a long talk can lead to a lasting romance. Bundle up and find your favorite beach!
