Halloween Horror: Are You Scared To Be Single?

Feeling freaked about your single status?

As the start of the holiday season approaches, many singles start getting the blues over not having a special someone to enjoy it with -- but instead of feeling bad about sleeping single in a double bed -- this is a great time of year to celebrate being fabulous without a significant other. Even better, it's the perfect time to meet someone.

Here's five great reasons not to be scared of being single during the holidays. This year, try embracing being single. Get out and date and and enjoy the holiday season. We've got five great ways for you to turn your fear of being single into the pleasure of meeting new and interesting people.

1. Halloween costume parties
Let's face it, going to parties stag is always a drag. But at Halloween, you can mask your fears by putting on a costume and being someone you aren't most of the year. Choose the kind of Halloween costume that will express your mood this year (Silly? Sexy? Sarcastic?) and then throw yourself into the spirit of the season. You just never know who you might meet at a Halloween party -- someone else with a spirit of adventure that matches your own.

2.  World Series Watch parties
You don't have to be a "homer" to enjoy baseball in October. The two teams that made it all the way through the playoffs are destined to create spectacular moments that everyone will be talking about, so go ahead and pick a team. Don't know anything about baseball? It's an easy sport to learn because it goes at such a slow pace.  Find someone who will give you a few pointers and get flirting. Are you an expert at baseball? Take the time to introduce someone new to the game.

3. Harvest suppers
Okay, so these kind of dinners often sound like the ones that are thrown by the ladies of the church or your dad's Rotary Club -- but just because a "harvest supper" has a tradition doesn't mean it has to be stuffy and old-fashioned. Put your own fantastic cooking skills to the test and invite a few friends over for feast with all the tastiest foods of the season. Ask each of your friends to bring a guest -- preferably someone you've never met before. A friend of a friend just might be your match.

4. Thanksgiving gatherings
There is always room for one more person at any Thanksgiving table, so don't make the mistake of staying home alone eating a frozen turkey dinner if you are miles and miles away from loved ones on the holiday. Let people know you are alone and accept the most intriguing invitation you are given -- no matter how mysterious it might be -- you will be surprised at the kindness that is shown by families on this particular holiday. And you never know, that single guy that Aunt Bessie wants to fix you up with just might turn out to be a hottie after all!

5. Holiday mixers
Put on your little black cocktail dress and head out for happy hour. It seems like almost every organization has a little end-of-year holiday gathering and you shouldn't turn down any invitations if you're single and ready to mingle. Don't go with any expectations, except to have fun and enjoy (usually free) nibbles and libations.

Halloween Recipe For Fake Blood

Turn Halloween into a fun fright fest with realistic fake blood.  Nothing adds to the thrills and chills of Halloween like this recipe for realistic fake blood! Did you know Hollywood special effects artists often use lubricants to make a gory and realistic looking blood?  Now you can make fake blood at home just like the Hollywood pros with Wet® Personal Lubricants.

Here's the recipe:

1. Wet® Gellee Personal Lubricant (water-based)
2. Wet® Original Personal Lubricant (water-based)
3. Red food coloring
4. Blue or green food coloring
5. Chocolate syrup

Instructions:

Start with Wet® Gellee.  Pour about 3/4 of the total amount of blood needed in a bowl.  Add enough Wet® Original until the consistency is just slightly thicker than water. Then add a drop or two of red food coloring.  Add blue or green to shift the color to something more bloodlike.  Add chocolate syrup until the color darkens and the mixture becomes more opaque.

Tips & Tricks:

·         Wear gloves when applying.
·         Use a toothpick or the back of pen to create "cuts".
·         Flinging it on your body or a "crime scene" area creates very realistic splatters.
·         Do not use near eyes or ears.
·         Use this recipe with caution. It will stain just about everything it touches.

BONUS:  You'll still have plenty of Wet Gellee and Wet Original leftover to keep around for great sex!

Fall Into Seduction In October

October is the most seductive month of the year. Cool weather is a great time to be outdoors. There's no better time to view the beauty of nature on display. Take a walk with your mate and when you get home you'll both want to kiss and cuddle to get warm. It's a great time for couples who've been together for years to rekindle their romance. And for those who have just met, there are so many romantic activities that you can do this time of year that offer a wonderful way to get to know each other better.  Let October inspire an awesome date. With a little imagination, this month just may be your favorite month of the year.

Get into the spirit!
Start planning your Halloween costume. You've been waiting all year for this moment to dress up and go out on masquerade. There's no better way to get in touch with the whimsical side of your personality. Now is the time to start thinking creatively to come up a great costume idea. Will your costume be funny, timely or seductive?  A costume to stand out in a crowd, or a costume just for two?  Not into dressing up for Halloween? No problem, make plans to enjoy passing out candy together.

Get your brew on!
It's Oktoberfest all over the world. You don't have to be dating or even a couple to enjoy this celebration. Put on your Lederhosen and get your stein ready for all the festivities. Sample traditional foods and beers while buxom beer maidens serve Bavarian brews and lead lively sing-alongs of old time drinking songs.

Get haunted!
Plan a romantic getaway to a spooky old hotel. San Diego's Del Coronado Hotel and the Provincial Hotel in New Orleans are both said to be regularly visited by spirits. Or find a Bed & Breakfast with haunted reputation in your area. Tell ghost stories under the blankets and then fall asleep in your sweetheart's arms. You may wake up to the smell of pumpkin pancakes for breakfast in the morning. What could be more romantic?

Get spicy and sensual!
Want to unwind from a long week while reconnecting with your honey? Consider heading to a local spa for a couple’s massage. Many spas offer harvest spa treatments in October. Delight in the scents of autumn with spa treatments that include a spicy blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove. A healing massage treatment will leave you feeling relaxed and ready for romance!

Get saucy!
Thinking about taking your honey on a really sexy date? Go ahead, go lingerie shopping! This is not the best activity for a first date, of course. But shopping for sexy costumes and other naughty nothings can be a fun and flirty date with your steady. Many lingerie stores also carry a full line of sexy Halloween costumes this time of year. Why not slip into something a little less comfortable?

Does Size Matter?

A new report published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine says that penis size may matter more to some women in the bedroom than previously believed.

The study finds that women who have "frequent vaginal orgasms" are more likely than other women to say they climax more easily with men with larger penises. Women who tend to prefer penile-vaginal intercourse over other types of sex also say the same.

"Male anxiety about penis size may not reflect internalized, culturally arbitrary masculine stereotypes, but an accurate appreciation that size matters to many women — just as men feel legitimate anxiety when they enter the mating market about their intelligence, personality traits, sense of humor, social status, height, wealth, and other traits known to be favored by women across cultures," study researcher Stuart Brody, a psychologist at the University of the West of Scotland, told LiveScience.

NBC News reports:

In the new study, Brody and his colleagues asked 323 women, mostly Scottish university students, to recall past sexual encounters. They were asked about their recent sexual behaviors as well as how important penile-vaginal intercourse and other sex acts were to them. They were also asked whether penis length influenced their ability to orgasm with vaginal stimulation.

Does size matter? It's still up for debate. Tell us what you think in the comments below.
