Most people will tell you that they hate dating. Especially first dates. You're both nervous. You're both uncertain. You're feeling unfamiliar. And it's a lot like a job interview, so you're worried about making a good impression.
What if instead of worrying about making a good impression, you put the focus on your date. You make them feel comfortable by asking questions about them. That would probably make them feel like you are interested in them. And it would be a great way to make a good first impression.
So all you would need is a few questions to get the conversation started on your first date. But remember to be engaged and listen to the answers. Don't interrupt.
Here are 20 Questions to break the silence.
1. Where do you work? What do you do? Have you found your dream job?
2. What's your favorite dessert?
3. What food do you hate?
4. What's your favorite movie of all time? What kind of movies do you like?
5. What do you do in your free time? What do you do for fun? What is your passion?
6. Where is your dream travel destination? Have you ever been there?
7. Are you a cat or a dog person?
8. If you ruled the world, what would you change about it?
9. What's the best piece of advice you ever gotten from a total stranger?
10. Who do you admire most? Not famous and famous.
11. Are you an early bird or a night owl?
12. What's one thing about you that would surprise me?
13. Where do you feel the most relaxed?
14. What's your favorite way to spend a Saturday?
15. If your house was on fire, what’s the first thing you’d grab to save?
16. When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
17. What was your worst job ever?
18. What’s the bravest thing you’ve ever done?
19. What’s the luckiest thing that’s ever happened to you?
And just in case things are going well and you want to go a little deeper:
20. How long ago was your last relationship? Why do you think it didn't work?
But that last one is really a question that you can explore further on your second date.
Remember, it is the other person's first date with you too and they may be just as nervous.
Just relax, listen, and enjoy getting to know the other person on your first date. You never get a second chance to have a good first date.

Online Dating Tips For Martha Stewart
Last week, Martha Stewart revealed that not only was she interested in dating, she's got a Match.com profile. Many people were shocked to think that a woman her age (she's 71) would want to date or more importantly take lover, but the rest of us know that a vibrant woman like Martha should be dating, and having sex.
We want to give Martha big kudos for embracing the Internet
age and signing up for online dating. It's a great way to meet a lot of people
quickly. She may not find her perfect match through an online dating site, but
it is a great way to meet people outside of your own social circle.
There are a few rules that Martha (and her contemporaries)
should keep in mind when they first start online dating.
Don't Have Sex On The First Date
Unless you want to AND you're prepared. That means you've brought protection from STDs and you're only looking for a physical relationship. Know that relationships can change after you have sex, so if that's what you want -- go for it. A few years ago, online daters had a third date rule -- that was the date when sex became an option. No one should ever feel pressure to make a date physical. Especially if you 've just jumped back into dating after a long period of time off. You know best when you're feeling sexy, make sure that you keep to your own schedule.
Avoid Dating George Clooney
Unless
you're just in it for fun. When a man says he doesn't want to have a relationship with one particular woman...believe him. Then just sit
back and enjoy yourself and don't take it too seriously. This isn't your first
rodeo, so you should be able to spot a selfish lover quickly.
Trust your instincts. If you think that your date isn't as emotional invested
as you are in being in a relationship, walk away, it's probably true. Life is
too short to be dating anyone who doesn't fit your lifestyle .
Keep Your Options Open
Just because
you've made the final purchase doesn't mean you can't window shop. Dating
online shouldn't narrow your options. You should continue to look for someone
nice in your social circle or neighborhood. Getting to know someone in an
exercise class or where you work or volunteer, takes the pressure off of dating.
While you're letting that relationship develop, you can continue online dating
so you won't be sitting home alone on a Saturday night.
Establish Your Boundaries
Don't
want to have someone sleep over at your house? Just want a companion for social
events? Want to date someone who lives in a different geographic location. Perfect.
Tell your date what you expect from dating. Being honest will avoid hurt
feelings and confusion.
Don't Abandon Your Past
Don't feel like you have to be a "born-again"
virgin to get back into the dating scene. If you're dating other people your
own age, they'll expect you to come with baggage -- including ex-spouses,
children and grandchildren. Someone worth dating will embrace you and
everything you bring with you -- just as you will embrace them.

Memorial Day Weekend Date Ideas
It's the first "unofficial" weekend of summer. You remember when you were in sixth grade it marked the beginning of the end. Only a week or two left before school was out for the summer and the fun would begin.
Why not return to the thrills of your youth this weekend? Make a date to just have fun. Do something that puts you in touch with your "inner child" and take you back to a time when summer days were endless and casual Fridays were something only your dad participated in.
We've got a few date night ideas to get your Memorial Day weekend off to a great start.
1. Invite a friend or friends over for a BBQ.
Hotdogs, hamburgers and potato salad will be enough to get the party started. Maybe you can share a double dip ice cream cone for dessert.
2. Spend a day at a botanical garden or arboretum.
Lilacs and peonies are in full bloom this time of year and shouldn't be missed. Find a garden where you can lose yourself in the beauty of Mother Nature.
3. Plan a nature hike.
You know how to get to the hidden water fall, now call up a friend and take them there for the most romantic first kiss of all time.
4. Outdoor movie screening.
It's that time of year when you can go watch movies in your favorite park. It's a great way to share a laugh and a cuddle or two after dark.
5. Learn a new sport.
Now's the time to sign up for a class to learn a sport that you've always wanted to try -- but couldn't fit into your schedule. So you'll never be on the Olympic team, it doesn't mean it won't be fun.
6. Go on a drive in the country.
There's that one exit on your commute every day with the street name that beckons to you and makes you wonder what's out there. Now's the time to see it..and then some more. Get in the car and go.
7. Follow a food truck.
Get your Twitter machine up and running and follow the location listed to the Food Truck that you've always wanted to try. There may even be a gathering of food trucks going on in your town.
8. Take a train trip.
Leave the driving to someone else and go off on a train trip to a tourist destination. Yes, it probably will be crowded (and fun) on Memorial Day, but if you take the train you won't have to worry about parking.
9. Stay home
Catch up on the laundry, file paperwork in the home office, take a long afternoon nap, and then share a glass of wine with someone special in your own backyard. It all sounds too delicious for words.
10. Sleep under the stars.
You don't have to go camping (but you could and it would be fun) to enjoy a night of star gazing with someone you admire. And don't forget to wish upon a shooting star. Your dreams just might come true.

Things NOT To Do On A First Date
It's been trending for two days on Twitter. You know you've seen the #ThingsNOTToDoOnAFirstDate hashtag -- and there's a reason for that. First, it's because of the adorable video made by Connor Franta. Second, it's because we're all still a little anxious and confused about what we are supposed to do on a first date. For many people, it's a nerve-shattering experience.
While your hormones tell you that you should get a close as possible as soon as possible, your head is telling you that you need to take your time and get to know your date. It's no wonder you feel so conflicted and confused. We all do. So here are a few rules to stick to when you're on a first date.
1. Bring a friend.
2. Talk about religion or politics.
3. Take your date home to meet your mom, father, brother sister or cousins.
4. Spend too much money.
5. Hit on the waiter or waitress.
6. Use a discount coupon to pay for anything.
7. Keep checking your phone for emails, texts and calls.
8. Talk about your previous relationships.
9. Go to the movies. (Sitting in the dark for two hours is no way to get to know someone.)
10. Talk about yourself too much.

How To Date Like A Player
So you made a new year's resolution that you would get up off the sofa and date more, and now you're wishing that your resolution had been to focus on paying off your credit card debt. Dating isn't as easy as it looks, or sounds when you're sitting at home alone on New Year's Eve.
There are a few techniques that you can learn from people
who date a lot. These "pick up artists" have some techniques that can
be game changers for introverts -- and some of them aren't all that difficult
to learn. Who knew that going out to dinner on a first date isn't a great idea? Pick up a few 'pick up lines' in this article on The Frisky.com

For Men & Women Size Does Matter
Say it ain't so, Joe…but there's actually some science that
suggests that size does matter when it comes to penises. Turns out guys with bigger
penises are more attractive to women.
According to a new report in the journal Proceedings of
the National Academy of Science, Brian Mautz, now a postdoctoral fellow at
the University of Ottawa in Canada and his researchers, studied how 105 young
Australian women rated attractiveness in males.
“We show that penis size actually is important on some level
and, importantly, it interacts with other traits,” says Mautz. You can read more about the study on NBC News.com
And just to make it an even playing field for men and women. There's another study out of
Germany detailed in a questionable UK tabloid that says that men who look at
busty women every day are more likely to live longer.
Seriously!
Dr. Karen Weatherby recommends that men over 40 should spend
at least 10 minutes daily admiring breasts sized D-cup or larger. It's so
specific, it must be true! Read more about it on Daily Record.com

Fun Fall Date Ideas
It's the most wonderful time of the year! The days are warm and sunny and the nights are cool and crisp. It's a great time to start something new, like a new project, a new book, or a new relationship.
We've got some great ideas for you to get out and get dating with someone special. There's no reason why go out with someone new, we've got ideas for cheap dates too. After you both have lots of fun, maybe then it'll be time to get frisky!
1. Football game
High school, college or pro -- it doesn't matter. It's all about snuggling under a blanket together in the stands, and making out under them after the game.
2. Pumpkin carving
You can tell a lot about a person by the personality of their pumpkin. And the roasted seeds make a tasty treat that goes well with a glass of white wine.
3. Haunted Attraction
It's that time of year when people actually pay good money to be scared to death. Why not? Get going to the closet place you can find that's celebrating the zombie apocalypse.
4. State Fair
Nothing is as much fun as a funnel cake and 4-H. Throw in a little boot-scootin' boogie and you've got a night that's on the way to hot romance.
5. Hayride
It's the perfect way to slow things down a little bit and really get to know another person. Especially fun if you both leave your smartphones in the car and just take some time to get to know each other.
6. Color tour
Get in the car and head north -- or east or west. You can easily find out where the most scenic drives for fall color are located near you. Make a Google map and head out to really enjoy the season.
7. Apple cider mill
It's the real flavor of the season. You can count on some sweet kisses in between glasses of cider and bites of hot donuts.
8. Weenie roast
It's the perfect time of year for a bonfire. You'll have to cuddle close after dark and don't forget the s'mores!
9. Ghost hunt
A little Internet research will give you the location of "haunted" places in your area. Take a flashlight and go exploring to see if you can find paranormal activity followed by a little nookie.
10. Leaf pile jumping
You can have fun in your own backyard and enjoy feeling like a kid again.
11. Nature hike
There's no better way to really enjoy the colors that celebrate the change of the seasons.
12. Corn maze
You may have to look around to find a pumpkin farm or ranch that's hosting a corn maze. It's fun to get lost -- just the two of you together.
13. Dinner and a movie marathon
Crisp nights call for a fire in the fireplace, a glass of wine and some shared favorites in the DVD player.
14. Wine tasting and picnic
Pack a lunch and head out to the local wineries. Many wineries have free tasting flights, and if you take your lunch you can find a gorgeous corner of the winery to enjoy your lunch.
15. Harvest festival
What a great way to celebrate the season. You'll be able to walk, shop and eat together.
16. Farmers Market
After you gather up a bounty of fresh produce, you can have even more fun planning a meal together.
17. Oktoberfest
Raise your glass and stomp your feet. Fall is the perfect time to get out and celebrate. Maybe this year you'll learn how to polka.
18. The-AH-tre Season
September is traditionally the start of new plays in theatres. Find out about the regional theatres near you -- or make plans to go see something special in a big city nearby.
19. Nest Shopping
You'll be spending more time indoors as the weather gets cooler in the coming months, now is the perfect time to go shopping for new pillows, towels and sheets.
20. After midnight moonlight sex
Before there's snow on the ground, and while the air is crisp -- you can still get down and get funky under a moonlight sky.

Rules Of Engagement: Dating Games 2012
There are a lot of myths that we all live by when it comes
to dating. But one thing is for sure, no one enjoys it as much as they say they
do. And we've developed a number of different "rules" about dating to
make it just a little be more civilized.
For example, no one thinks they should accept a same day
date invitation. It makes it seem as if you aren't as popular as your Facebook
page leads you to believe. But do people really stick to that rule, or do they
break it if they think that the personal making the invitation might be a bit
of a catch.
And there isn't anyone who hasn't been surprised to realize
that the photos that their date posted on the dating website were at least 10
years old…and photoshopped by a genius. We've all gone out on that date. The
one that we wish that we could have back. That's why according to a new survey,
most of us have "online stalked" a prospective date before going on
with them. Just to be certain that what's being advertised is what we're really
getting.
So, just what are the rules of engagement for the dating
games in 2012? Check out this new survey from eHarmony that was recently
featured on the Huffington Post.com.

Go Red, White & Lube To Celebrate Independence Day!
Spark some fireworks for your Independence Day celebration!
Whether you're
spending a quiet day at home, attending a backyard BBQ, or hitting the beach, the
Fourth of July is the perfect time to go on a date. Independence Day
celebrations are great places for singles to mingle and couples to cuddle. Whether
you are on your first date, your 100th date, or you're married, we've got some
ideas for sexy ways to celebrate this Independence Day.
Get naked!
…Or as close to it as you dare. In many parts of the
country, you'll be trying to beat the summer heat of July. So go ahead and take
off a layer of clothes. You've been working hard at the gym. It's time to show
off a little and let the world enjoy the view!
Get wet!
Summer holidays are all about beaches
and bikinis. If you don’t live near a beach, find a friend with a pool or buy a
day pass to a public pool. Want to get a little sexy? Grab your guy and give him
an ice massage and then let him return the favor. You'll find things will really heat up as the
ice melts.
Celebrate history!
Find out what local American memorials or museums you can
visit. You and your partner can get a renewed appreciation for your heritage.
Or find a nearby celebration of U.S. military men and women. They are the heart
and soul of America, and our freedoms are due to their bravery and sacrifices.
Make it a
blockbuster!
Some of the biggest
summer movies are released on 4th of July weekend. What a great way to enjoy
some time together in the dark of a theatre. You can get some popcorn and candy
for a treat and enjoy a flick (or two) on the big screen. When no one is looking you can get naughty in
the balcony.
See fireworks!
Nearly every town in
America has some type of fireworks celebration. You can snuggle under a blanket
while watching the 'rocket's red glare' with the crowd. Or better yet, make a
point to stay home this year, and create some fireworks of your own backyard. Summer is the perfect time to have sex
outdoors.

Should You Answer A Booty Call?
Absolutely.
As long as you both know that it's a relationship that's
based on casual sex and nothing else, answer that late-night text and enjoy
yourself.
But what if you've got the feeling that you and he might be
good as a couple, both in and out of the sack?
Can a booty call turn into a committed relationship?
Most skeptics (and your mother) are going to say no.
But you know that you have an awesome time between the
sheets together, and you're wondering if you might not have a little something
going on outside the bedroom as well. You know you have a few things in common,
but should you, and well, can you…turn a booty call into a date?
The difference between a booty call and a boyfriend is that
the booty call is just sex. In fact, texting has become the standard way booty calls
communicate. So if you want to turn your regular booty call into a boyfriend,
you have to communicate on a much
deeper level.
First of all, stop
answering your texts late at night. Call back the next day after work, and If
he asks you where you were, tell him the truth -- you were asleep.
Don't give it up. If
you can tell that he is only going to see you for late night booty call sex,
and you want more, then don't try to get him to stay by having sex.
Try to find some
activities to that you both like to do, like going to a ball game or a band.
Make sure they are activities where you aren't alone.
Find some time to
talk when you're both fully clothed. Get to know him and let him get to really
know you.
Don't beat yourself
up if you slip up and get back into bed with him again after a late night text.
If the sex is hot -- it'll be hard to resist -- but it is the only clear path
to getting what you want.
Make the decision
that you'll stop answering his late night texts if he refuses to see you except
for late night sex, especially if you know that you have feelings for him that
are more than just about casual sex. Do this to protect yourself, so you don't
end up with a broken heart.
